Paula Barber, Founder & President - Idaho

Paula Barber is the founder of On Point Recruiting and has over 20 years of human resource management experience in Fortune 500 companies in heavy manufacturing, high-tech, and financial services. She has had direct responsibility for recruiting, EEO/AA, affirmative action, employee relations, line HR management, employee and leadership development as well as compensation/benefits.

Her direct responsibilities for staffing include: local, multi-state, national, high-volume, and complex, difficult-to-fill searches. She has managed teams of recruiters locally as well as in multiple states. She has developed strategies and processes for identifying talent for national, high-level positions within organizations.

Paula received her BS in Business from the University of Southern Maine and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is a member of the Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Idaho Industry Liaison Group. She is an active volunteer in the community focusing on Pet Therapy at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center.

As President, Paula is putting her own, as well as her team’s strong technical recruiting skills to work for companies that need skilled recruiting for both short- and long-term projects.

Ken Barber, Co-Founder - Montana

Ken Barber is co-founder and Marketing and Business Development Manager for On Point Recruiting. He has 30 years experience as a senior level manager in organizations including, government, non-profit, small business and Fortune 500 companies. He has held P/L responsibility for multi-national corporations in electronics and forest products industries.

Ken has managed diverse business sectors including, sales, marketing, product development, and procurement/inventory. In addition, he has established and managed team-oriented sales organizations that set standards for superior service in several industries. In these roles he has developed positions and competencies, sourced, interviewed, selected and oriented numerous employees.

Ken received his BS and MS degrees in Natural Resource Management from Michigan State University and an MBA from Purdue University. He is a volunteer biologist for Idaho Fish and Game and a former member of the Civil Air Patrol specializing in Search and Rescue operations.

Cheryl, Sr. Recruiter - California

Cheryl joined On Point Recruiting in April 2007. She has over 7 years of sourcing and direct recruiting experience in Fortune 500, manufacturing, financial services, and staffing.

Cheryl’s innovative sourcing techniques have allowed her to successfully recruit for various industries including banking, financial services, mortgage, and information technology. She has been responsible for full-cycle recruiting at the local as well as national level for KeyBank, NA., Lending Tree Loans, Argent Mortgage Company, Washington Mutual Bank, Ingram Micro, Miller Brewing Company, Fusion Staffing Services, and Palladian Consulting.

Cheryl holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Social Science from Pasadena City College. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Orange County chapter of the Project Management Institute. She is trained in targeted selection and diversity recruiting.

Cheryl is an active volunteer in the community for Habitat for Humanity.

Jeff, Sr. Recruiting Consultant - New Jersey

Jeff has over 20 years experience as a specialist in staffing and human resource management in diverse industry groups including the Big 4, the Fortune 50, and logistics. He has led HR functions through start ups to outplacement, while leading value-added HR teams.

He has been successful in both the corporate arena driving the HR/Talent Management function for HSBC, ITT, Ernst & Young, Western Union, and Southeastern, Inc. as well as consulting for CSC and the Thompson Corporation. His staffing responsibilities include: local, multi-state, national, high-volume, and complex, difficult-to-fill searches. He has managed teams of recruiters locally and in multiple states. Jeff has been responsible for developing strategies and processes for identifying and hiring talent.

Jeff received his MA in Counseling Psychology from Southern Connecticut University and a BA in English from the University of New Haven. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute. He is a member of the SHRM Morris County, NJ chapter, is the Chapter Certification Chairperson, in addition to serving on the statewide team to provide support and guidance for those seeking their certification.

Jeff is active in the community as a volunteer coach in numerous youth sports.
